“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

 Lao Tzu

The first trip on my eleven year odyssey was to Kenya in 1995. I witnessed the Great Wildebeest Migration that travels from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park into Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve. I was on safari while in the midst of ending a particular chapter in my life. I was on the verge of a rebirth which I call “New Beginnings.”

The last trip, and a reaffirmation of the first, was to Gabon in 2006. I spent several weeks hiking in remote jungles that a National Geographic Explorer (Michael Fay) called The Last Place On Earth. I was there while on a two week recess of a trial which spanned six months. It was the last of my solo efforts, which I call “This Is The End”.
